Rolling Deposit Scheme (RDS) is a scheme under which user can deposit money in advance with IRCTC and user can use RDS as a payment option along with other payment options available on IRCTC for paying money at the time of booking tickets.

Save precious booking time by eliminating payment approval cycle.
User will get the benefit of saving precious booking time and Payment Gateway charges per ticket.
Users can manage his account online and also top up online.
User’s dependency on bank is reduced, as when any of the provided banks go offline, user can still book tickets from his RDS account.

The following features are available:

User Authentication: IRCTC RDS user will be verified and authenticated through their online PAN Card number Verification.
Secured Access: IRCTC offers a secure booking through RDS by providing Transaction Password/ PIN Number that is required to be entered for every booking done through RDS.
Complete History: User is shown a separate link namely "RDS" that offers RDS Transaction history, RDS payment History & change transaction password.
Easy Refund: In case of ticket cancellation the due refund will be credited to your RDS Account next day.

06 easy steps to register and book ticket through RDS:

Login to IRCTC with your existing IRCTC user id and password.
Click the link given on "Plan my travel" Page for RDS Registration.
Fill PAN CARD No. and other details.
One time registration fee of Rs.250/- online with any of the available payment options which can be redeem to book tickets excluding Service Tax and Educational CESS.
Credit the RDS account with the minimum deposit of Rs.100/- and top up with the required booking amount.
Maximum amount that a user can have in his account at a time is Rs.5000/-
Pay ticket booking amount through RDS which is shown as payment option along with other Banks.

  1. I could not find the option to enter PAN details in "Plan my travel". I want to register RDS, please help me by providing complete steps to register RDS. Already I have registered with IRCTC.

  2. I think there is no RDS service....IRCTC can neither improve the speed of the website nor introduce any easy way to book tatkal tickets....waiting since announcement of RDS

  6. Sir book tickets and I pay from debit card and train fully cancel and refund so rds TOPUP show kar raha hai why
